Transmission Tower Relocation Without Delaying Your Project

HTSE deploys IEEE 1070 & IEC certified ERS Towers to support Transmission Tower Relocation and Transmission Line Shifting during highways, railways, metros and infrastructure projects. Our temporary Power Line Diversion keeps the transmission line energised while the permanent alignment is relocated, helping your project stay on schedule.

Reduce Project Delays with Temporary Power Line Diversion

National and state projects run to tight schedules and a live transmission line across the alignment can hold them up for weeks. Shifting or relocating that line usually needs a shutdown the grid can't give. HTSE installs a temporary ERS bypass, so the corridor stays energised while the crossing tower is raised, relocated or diverted. The line keeps supplying power and your build keeps moving.

Once the permanent line sits in its new position, we dismantle the ERS and take it away. You get the clearance you need, without a long outage or the penalties it brings.

Applications of ERS Transmission Tower

Whatever crosses your alignment, HTSE keeps the line live while it's shifted.

Highways

Challenge
Widening, expressways and flyovers run into transmission lines that don't give the required ground clearance and the road works stop until the line is dealt with.
How HTSE responds
An ERS bypass carries the load while the crossing tower is raised or relocated, so traffic keeps moving and the highway build stays on schedule.
  • Road widening
  • Flyover
  • Clearance

Railways

Challenge
New tracks, electrification and metro corridors cross existing lines and tight clearances that a live conductor can't meet.
How HTSE responds
ERS towers hold the line on a temporary diversion while structures are shifted or raised, so railway works and the grid both stay on programme.
  • New tracks
  • Electrification
  • Metro

Industrial Parks

Challenge
New industrial parks, SEZs and plants need power corridors rerouted or upgraded around the site before development can proceed.
How HTSE responds
A temporary power line diversion frees the right of way so the line stays energised while the permanent route is rebuilt around the park.
  • SEZs
  • Plant sites
  • Right-of-way

Major Construction Projects

Challenge
Dams, ports, bridges and large builds often sit beneath or beside live EHV lines that block heavy construction.
How HTSE responds
ERS towers provide a temporary diversion or clearance so cranes and heavy plants work safely while the permanent line is moved/ raised.
  • EHV crossings
  • Heavy plant
  • Temporary path

Highway (NH-361)
Case Study

A highway held up by a low line, cleared without a long shutdown.

On NH 361 near Wardha, highway construction stalled because a 220 kV double circuit line sat too low for the required clearance. HTSE bypassed the line onto ERS towers at three locations, so it stayed live while two new taller towers were built to raise it. The double circuit was back on its permanent structures without a prolonged outage.

From your call to a live diversion

01

Call / WhatsApp

Reach our 24/7 desk with the alignment, the crossing line's voltage class and the site conditions.
02

Engineer the diversion

We design the ERS configuration, anchors and foundation bases for your span and soil.
03

Mobilise & Erect

Our crew transports and erects the modular tower, with no cranes or civil foundation.
04

Shift & Dismantle

The line runs on the ERS while the permanent tower is moved or raised. Once it's back, we dismantle and remove the ERS.

Frequently Asked Questions

Transmission Line Shifting is the relocation or diversion of an existing transmission line to clear the way for highways, railways, metros and other infrastructure projects. HTSE uses ERS Towers to create a temporary bypass, allowing construction to continue while the live line remains energised.

Yes. HTSE deploys ERS Towers to create a temporary Power Line Diversion, allowing Transmission Tower Relocation with only a short switching outage. The transmission line remains energised while the permanent relocation is completed.

Either the utility or the project authority can engage HTSE. We coordinate with all stakeholders and deliver the complete solution including survey, engineering, Transmission Line Shifting, installation and removal of the ERS Towers.

HTSE installs ERS Towers beside the existing line and transfers the conductors onto the temporary structure. This allows the permanent tower to be relocated or rebuilt while power continues to flow through the temporary bypass.

Yes. ERS Towers provide temporary transmission support while permanent towers are raised, relocated or replaced to achieve the required road or railway clearance, keeping the transmission line operational throughout the project.

ERS Towers can remain deployed for days or several months, depending on the project schedule. HTSE designs every temporary Power Line Diversion to operate safely until the permanent transmission line is commissioned.
