Case Study

A 10-day shutdown, cut to a few hours.

A 132 kV line in Ghaziabad was being reconducted from ACSR Panther to a higher capacity conductor, work that would normally need a 10 day shutdown. HTSE bypassed the line onto three ERS towers so it stayed energised and the required outage dropped to a few hours. The bypass ran through a crowded market and held through a hailstorm without damage.

In most cases, yes. HTSE sizes the temporary transmission support to your line’s rating, so the corridor keeps carrying its normal load during the works. Where a specific span or clearance calls for it, we tell you any limit up front and design the bypass around your peak demand.
The ERS is erected beside the tower being replaced and the line is transferred onto it, so the permanent structure is fully de-loaded. Your crews then dismantle the old tower and build the new one while power flows over the ERS. Once the replacement is strung and tested, the line moves back and the ERS comes down.

Yes. When a corridor is uprated to a higher voltage, the towers usually need to be raised or rebuilt for extra clearance. A temporary bypass keeps the existing line live while that work happens, so the uprating proceeds without a long outage and the upgraded line is commissioned on schedule.
